Square Root of Three

I’m sure that I will always be
A lonely number like root three

The three is all that’s good and right,
Why must my three keep out of sight
Beneath the vicious square root sign,
I wish instead I were a nine

For nine could thwart this evil trick,
with just some quick arithmetic

I know I’ll never see the sun,
as 1.7321
Such is my reality,
a sad irrationality

When hark! What is this I see,
Another square root of a three

As quietly co-waltzing by,
Together now we multiply
To form a number we prefer,
Rejoicing as an integer

We break free from our mortal bonds
With the wave of magic wands

Our square root signs become unglued
Your love for me has been renewed
– Dave Feinberg

kaba_modern_281x105.jpg

up until now the black and white picture above was a vibrant colorful picture. But the news that hit the world like Katrina hit new Orleans came to me while i was eating deep dish pizza and watching the lake show destroy the Mormon jazz. KABA MODERN WAS BOOTED!!! really woooooooow .. i had a long day at work i wasnt feeling accting class and i come home to this. life is becoming more and more dark and gloomy just like the picture above. i havent watched the episode yet so i cant be the one to judge the performance of my beloved back dancer extraordinaires but i know they rocked. i expect nothing less, and they always deliver. jabbawakies or how ever u spell the faceless star wars dance crew .. pee on you!! altho i give them props they’re pretty good. really… but status quo.. WTF…there way below the name that represents them.. just like the rapper stat quo…bunch of crap…thats fact and there aint nothing after that.

and i quote from others:

uspendidostwentyone (03.20.08 | 11:06 PM)

KABA MODERN IS WAY BETTER THAN STATUS QUO.PEOPLE WHO THINK SQ ROCK THIS SHOW NOPE SORRY YOU CAN’T ENTERTAIN ME WITH YOUR MOVES AND COREOGRAPGPHY SUCKS.I HATE DRAMA THAT’S Y I HATE SQ E-WOCKS WAHAHA CRIED FOR US TO VOTE 4 THEM.SORRY DUDE U CAN’T BU ME 4 THAT.

DojiSan (03.20.08 | 11:06 PM)

The dance off with Kabba tonight to stay alive was the most SIIICCCCCCCKK!! performance ive seen…that head spin at the end..maaaaaaannnnn how does he stay in balance!!!! They better win!!

jack (03.20.08 | 11:06 PM)

cry baby + monkey flip + big boys faces = BITCHASSNESS..

Chelle8806 (03.20.08 | 11:05 PM)

SQ is NOTHING compared to Jabba! I LOVE Jabba all the way! Kaba is my second fav and i’m SHOCKED and disappointed it’s not Kaba vs Jabba. Whether or not it’s rigged, keep voting for jabba as much as possible! I’d hate to see them loose just because we all thought it was rigged. (Although how else did SQ get into the finals eh?)

saramary3 (03.20.08 | 11:03 PM)

Both Kaba and Jabba KILLED it during Thriller. It was the best show I’d seen out of all of them. I just am STUNNED that they aren’t the top two crews!

st8westcoastin (03.20.08 | 11:03 PM)

THIS SHOW SUCKS — KABA N JABBA WERE THE BEST !!

there u have it. all rigged like the 2004 elections

Beautiful Mistakes

leave a comment »

These past couple months have been really fun and invigorating with valentines days and all my new toys. But i think it took a toll on my wallet/ bank account.

here are all the debits:

  1. Scottrade : $700 – i dont know what to buy yet
  2. school : 8 units x $20 per unit = $ 160 – im getting $213 reimbursed by my company for my stellar grades last quarter
  3. Play Station 3, HDMI cables, 2 wireless controllers : $365 – so far played call of duty 4, very fun. cant wait to see some blu-ray action!!!
  4. Nintendo DS lite ONYX color, screen protector, Brain Age 2 : $105 – excersing my celibral cortex
  5. hand car wash with wax and fresh cherry scent : $36 – much needed cleaning, i hate u rain
  6. The Palms (for 2) : $215 – its was good; one of these days ill do a food entry on this thing.
  7. wicked (2 tix): $100 – the green goblin sang the best, the others just sounded like regular joe schmo’s at a NRB. it was good, but ive seen better. on a side note! after the  musical when i got in the car i saw on my dashboard 11:11…what does that mean?????
  8. 4 tix to Mary J. blige @ the Hollywood bowl and 4 tix to Kanye West @ staples and nokia: $850+ – Tix will go on sale soon let me know if you are interested!! hopefully this will cover all of the above and ill be able to pay off my Credit card [ by june i will have no debt =]. i love when concerts sell out in less then 5 min =] speaking of which, i wanted to go to the Foo Fighters concert but i couldnt get tix. luckily the madison square garden show was on fuse the other night.
  9. Isuzu Rodeo : $1800- year:94, millage: 62k, best condition i ever saw a used car have. … my dad wanted it.. and KBB price is at 6k so i picked it up. ill flip it soon

i need to stay low on the C-notes for awhile. as some would say ive been getting buck in here!@!@! well thats after the vegas trip

started new classes for the 08 and they going pretty well.. im only taking 2 classes but i forsee accting 2 being a tough class. im scared .. but ive been keeping up. i think that brain age is helping out, ha!

im bot a big fan of bottled water buuuut, I recently discovered the joys of smartwater. it may sound weird but it really taste good and it is enriched with electrolytes!! 2 in freakin 1 nooo way!!! “purity you can taste” heck yeah!! ” hydration you can feel” with every gulp!!

there is this dance show hosted by mario lopez produced by none other then randy jackson and one team competing is kaba modern a  pinoy pinia(?) club at the greatest college UCI. AND one of the teammates is korean. naturally thats a combination for success a “shoe in to win”… but well see as weeks go by and competition gets stiffer.

weird i just went to the uci website to get some linkage in for the “uci” above and i saw an old man [ Dr. Ronald Kotkin] that looked disturbing, as if his house is registered in the megans law web site.

happy birthday shout out to co worker helen park,  UCI alum sae ko, and actress drew barrymore

cheers

the year that was 2007

with one comment

Last year was, Full of BS. Im glad its over.

For a good part of the year my mom was in Korea, she was taking care of some legal issues with some bastard family members ( the word “bastard” is not loosely used, he basically disowned himself from the family- Peace out MoFo). it was all weird for me, my mom being gone. It’s cool cause I had the house to myself (well with my brother, dad was back and forth) without parents nagging at me – do this, do that–SHUT UP. But then again, whose going to do the laundry, cook & wash the dishes, call the Mexican maids, etc…yeah there was a lot of going to target for new underwear and socks. jk..

Next, SFC battle with the law took a good toll on me personally. Now, Dont get me wrong hes a really good guy, love him to death, buuuut he likes to do things his way. Any fart, two things ill never forget. One, I am infamous for never taking any sick days, my company thinks i work hard, little did they know I was just scared to take days off because its frowned upon, Stupid Koreans. But one day I went balls out. Best trick ever, when your about to get better- just keep up the caughing and people will told me to stay home so that I dont get everyone else sick [=] ( yeah, thats a double smile) – the next morning when your 98% over the sickness call in sick approx 30min before work. But I digress. It was Valentines day and instead of planning a romantic one day getaway with my girl, i called in sick and planned to spend the day with SFC. Buuuut as I was in the shower, B was taken to a hmm mm governmental resort.the second thing ill never forget is the drive to this resort, waiting in line, and actually the visit. the drive their was very long and boring. of course the car was filled with music and a cool breeze. but the ride, the ride was silent and all you can see was dirt on both sides. well, im not going to write everything down or anymore, because its a memory best left inside. all i can say that it was a tear dropping event, that i wont forget, and hope will never experience. we had subway after. i dont remember the rest of the day. o nevermind…

I Started taking classes again at a local community college the latter part of the year. three classes and a full time job is rough and mentally draining. i made out like the champion though i got two A’s and a B. thanx bims. round 2 of classes start this feb. that reminds me, i have to study for the GMAT’s dont i.

work- well last year i tried to quit. didnt go as planned. i wanted to go to school full time but some how they convinced me to stay and go to school at night. Work is hard. who likes work right? Especially not me . every year i see people join the company and others leave. im used to it now, none of that sentimental crap im a man trick! i guess, this year all the people who left took huge hit on our company, so did the crash of the housing market. do i care? no. as long as i get that lil amt of money directly deposited into my account. =]

I started my little stock portfolio, slowly but surely, this with a great plan will be a driving force in my early retirement.

mini trip to the palms — went to palm springs with bims and people for a night just to relax and rest. it was a good time doing nothing and lounging. this year i want to travel more. probably most weekend trips around california ie : napa, santa barbara, SF, etc. hopefully ill get to travel outside the US again. maybe japan…wana come?? lets go

Food –me, my brother and a friend has looked for new things to eat in the 07 –I frequented J-town for good eats and treats. I found pretty much the best ramen house, its bomb diggity– its on first street, try it! love it! be addicted to it. good pho is around me house on main street. and chinese/ viet food right next door called bahnmi — 2 for 1 boba who beats that huh? yeah thought so… sashimi mixed rice bowl [hwae doop bab] at A-won on western. lets see what else.. corner bakery has a mean sandwich called the downtown turkey.. i forgot the rest ill put up more as days pass.

me and bims= still good, going on our sixth year. wow

the last day of the year i recieved a parking ticket!! i hate the 5.0 organization as a whole, really i saw, on the same street, a car running a red and two patrols did absolutely nothing. fantastic!

I spent the new years eve at church and took part in communion. it was different,a very nice change to the pervious years.

its been a couple days into 2008 and i hope for the best and much happiness.

cheers,
